Darren Wheeler

Darren is part of Essco’s sales and technical team, focusing on the Taconova, Danfoss and Miniflush flushing bypass range. He brings with him over 25 years of experience from Tacotherm Ltd, where he was responsible for sales, logistics, technical support, purchasing and operations. Darren also holds a BTEC higher education qualification in business management.

Away from work, Darren keeps active by playing badminton each week, but his real passion is pool. He plays in the Southampton pool league at premier league level. Family life is important too, his daughter is a trained pharmacist working at Southampton Hospital, and his son is studying computer science and electronic engineering at the University of Surrey.

With both children grown up, Darren and his partner, Rachael, are enjoying the chance to travel and go on holidays together.

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?

I know it sounds corny, but I really enjoy helping customers, when you are friendly, true and honest, you really get to know people, and in turn, that gives me the drive to help them to the best of my abilities.
