Peterson Sampaio

Peterson joined Essco as a workshop technician and was responsible for assembling our EDGE Heating Interface Units (HIUs). He spent a year and a half in this position, where he fitted the mechanical and electrical components and was also responsible for testing the units prior to dispatch to ensure product quality.

Keen to develop his skills, Peterson was recently promoted to Sales Engineer, where he is processing sales orders and being trained to provide customer support, quotations and technical advice. So far, he feels this has been a challenging move, but he is excited to learn more about the business and our customers.

Peterson started his professional career in a bank, but his degree is in chemical engineering and he is focused on building a career in the engineering industry. He recently completed a qualification in Yellow Belt Six Sigma to develop his skills in process improvement.

He is happiest when traveling, going to the gym, listening to music, or reading and loves spending time with his family and friends. When possible, he takes part in voluntary work to give back to those less fortunate.

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?

I like to think about the big picture particularly the end user of the product. I’m not just selling a valve or actuator; I’m selling a solution that will bring efficiency to the system and comfort to the resident.

Who is someone you admire, and why?

My dad. He taught me how to build relationships and to respect different mindsets and beliefs. He showed me how to tackle life’s challenges with a good attitude.
