Spencer Martin

As Specification Manager, Spencer leads the development of product and system specifications to support building services projects. He works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure designs are compliant, efficient and practical to deliver.

Spencer supports consultants and contractors throughout the specification process, helping align product capability with real project requirements.

Approachable and easy to work with, he brings strong technical knowledge and a collaborative approach to every project.

Spencer has over 24 years’ experience working with leading HVAC manufacturers including Wavin, Warmafloor and Evinox Energy. During this time, he has developed strong expertise across large residential heat network schemes and commercial underfloor heating projects.

His background includes working closely with developers and consultants on M&E systems, supporting projects from early design through to delivery. He has been involved in securing major schemes, including heat network and HIU projects valued up to £1.5 million and underfloor heating projects up to £1.2 million.

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

I’m currently focusing on strengthening my strategic sales planning. The aim is to build long term relationships with customers and developers, while making sure opportunities align with wider business growth.

What’s the best advice you were ever given and who was it from?

Control what you can control. In sales there will always be things outside your influence, but your preparation, follow up and attitude are always your responsibility. That’s advice my mother gave me and it’s stuck with me.
